Chair
Adrienne Mitford- Adrienne is a physical therapist who works in the Pennsylvania public school system with children with disabilities. She first became active in the YRs after the Presidential Inauguration in 2001.  Adrienne has been Chairman of the Dauphin County Young Republicans since January 2004. In June 2004, she became Executive Director of the PAYRs.  Adrienne was elected the YRNF Northeastern Vice-Chair in July 2005.  She served as the Dauphin County Volunteer Coordinator for Bush-Cheney ‘04 and the Dauphin County YP4W Chair. This effort brought Young Professionals outside of the Young Republican group to work together for the reelection of our President. She is currently the Dauphin County Volunteer Coordinator for Santorum ’06.  A key player in getting volunteers for campaign projects on and before Election Day; she worked countless hours and sleepless nights with the Bush Campaign to get the job done! Additionally, she has volunteered on many local, state, and national campaigns – regularly working with the senior party throughout Pennsylvania.
 
Vice Chair
 

Brandon Danz- Brandon serves as Chairman of the Lancaster County Young Republicans. During his time as Chairman he has focused on renewing the YRs commitment to community service, doubling YR efforts to assist endorsed Republican candidates, and growing the organization. Brandon is employed as the Outreach Coordinator to State Representative Scott Boyd. He graduated from Millersville University in 2003 with a degree in History, where he served as College Republicans President (99-01), Student Body President (01-03), and Chaired the State System of Higher Education's Board of Student Government Presidents (02-03). He was appointed by Governor Mark Schweiker in 2002 to sit on the State System of Higher Ed. Board of Governors. As a member of the board, he took an active roll in board decisions such as faculty contract negotiations, tuition adjustments, and the hiring of four new University Presidents. This year Brandon is focused on a Swanntorum victory in November!  Brandon has been elected to the Republican State Committee.
 

Secretary
 

Tom Baker- Tom is an elected Allegheny County Committeeman and is Secretary of both Pittsburgh’s 5th District Republican Committee and the Young Republicans of Allegheny County. Tom is a Family Recruiter for Three Rivers Adoption Council and serves on four non-profit boards. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Pittsburgh Urban Magnet Project, Greenfield Organization, Pittsburgh Singles Volunteer Network (Vice President), and LifeSpan, Inc. In 2005, Tom ran an aggressive campaign for a seat on the Pittsburgh Public School Board and received 37%, despite a 5 to 1 registration differential. Currently, Tom is Campaign Manager for Paul Snatchko’s State Representative candidacy in PA’s 46th District.  Tom earned his Bachelor degree in Elementary Education from Millersville University and his Masters degree from Indiana University of PA.  Tom has been elected to the Republican State Committee.
 

Treasurer
 

Michele Rajsic- A 2002 graduate of Temple University, with a BA in Political Science, Michele then attended the University of Pennsylvania to pursue a Masters in Government.  At Penn she was involved in Student Government and served as a representative for the Fels Insitute of Government to the University's Graduate School Council.  As a first generation American, Michele's interest in government began as a little girl as her parents became U.S. Citizens.  So when the 2000 Republican National Convention came to Philadelphia, she took the opportunity to volunteer and also served as an intern to U.S. Senator Rick Santorum. Michele then joined the Senator's staff in 2001 and currently serves in his Philadelphia Office.  A board member of the Philadelphia YR's, she is also an ex-officio board member of RightNOW! Philadelphia, a Republican women's organization.  Michele was also an active volunteer on several campaigns and the 2006 Speaker's Ball.
 

Executive Director
 

Meghan Pastorino, of Bucks County, began her political career as an active volunteer for Bush-Cheney 2004, and has been hooked on politics since.  Her activity with the Young Republicans began in February 2005 as a charter member of the Bucks County Federation of Young Republicans where she holds the office of Corresponding Secretary.  With her fellow YRs, Meghan has assisted in many countywide and township supervisor campaigns within Bucks County, organized and sent care packages to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, and planned many successful social events.  She is currently a full time student at Holy Family University, studying Criminal Justice and Political Science, and is employed by Congressman Michael G. Fitzpatrick (PA-08) as a Constituent Services Representative in his Doylestown District Office.  Meghan has enjoyed the activities and friends she has made through the Young Republicans, and looks forward to being more active in the Pennsylvania YRs and building the organization throughout the Commonwealth.
 

National Committeewoman
 

Lindsay Pfister- Lindsay is an elementary school teacher who teaches computer at a catholic school in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. Lindsay graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in elementary education from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. Also, at Duquesne, she is currently seeking her second master’s in school administration and her principal’s certificate.  Lindsay’s first master’s is in instructional technology.
Lindsay became involved in politics five years ago.  She was fortunate enough to be elected secretary of the Young Republicans of Allegheny County shortly after getting involved.  Since then, she has been elected Vice-Chair of the YRAC.  Lindsay is also the Vice-Chair of her local Republican committee in Baldwin Borough and is a committeewoman with the Republican Committee of Allegheny County.  During her time, Lindsay has helped with the Fisher campaign, Roddey campaign, and most recently the Bush-Chaney ‘04 campaign.  Politics has been a passion of Lindsay’s since she was 12 years old and she is thrilled to have been given so many opportunities since getting involved five years ago.  Being elected National Committeewoman in April is one of the opportunities she is most grateful to have been given. Because of this amazing chance, Lindsay now serves on the YRNF site selection board and is secretary for the Northeast Region.
 

Legal Counsel
  Gretchen Sterns Schuylkill

Gretchen Sterns is an associate attorney at the law firm of Cerullo, Datte & Wallbillich in Pottsville. She has been a member of the Schuylkill County Young Republicans for six years. She is a board member of Schuylkill County Birthright, an organization that helps disadvantaged single mothers, the founder of the St. Ambrose Pro-Life Club, a lector at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, a member of the Schuylkill County Bar Association and the Bar's St. Thomas More Society. Sterns serves as legal counsel for the Pennsylvania Young Republicans.

After graduating valedictorian from Marian Catholic High School in 1996, Sterns attended Elizabethtown College, where she was president of the student body and graduated magna cum laude. Sterns earned her juris doctor degree from Dickinson Law School, where she was editor of Dickinson Law Review and a member of the Woolsack Honor Society. She now resides in Deer Lake with her husband, Joe, and son, Samuel.

  Nate Silcox Cumberland

Nate Silcox majored in political science at Lock Haven University. During college, he interned with State Senator Bob Jubelirer and U.S. Senator Arlen Specter. After graduating, he interned at Republican State Committee. Nate then served Governor Tom Ridge in the Department of Education's Government Relations Office. He is most proud of the Department’s efforts to expand educational opportunities and increase academic accountability. Nate received his Masters Degree in Public Administration from Penn State Harrisburg and currently serves as the Legislative Director for State Senator Bob Robbins.

Nate joined the Dauphin County Young Republicans in 1998 and was elected Vice-Chairman in 1999. In 2000, he joined the Cumberland County Young Republicans and was elected Chairman. In 2000, he was also appointed as a Regional Director and Volunteer Coordinator for the Pennsylvania Young Republicans. In 2002, Nate was elected as the Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Young Republicans and in 2003 was elected as the Vice-Chairman of the Pennsylvania Young Republicans. In 2004, Nate served as Chairman of the Central Pennsylvania Young Professionals for Bush Coalition.

Nate currently resides in Mechanicsburg (Cumberland County) with his wife, Kathryn, and daughter, Kaitlyn.

 

Executive Board    
    Jason Abela

Jason is employed as a clerk at a law firm in Harrisburg.  He has been interested in politics from a very young age, attending his first Lincoln Dinner in Bedford County when he was twelve years old. He grew up in Michigan, spending summer vacations and holidays visiting relatives in Pennsylvania. Jason earned his B.A. in Political Science from Western Michigan University in 2005.
At Western Michigan University, Jason was a member of the College Republicans. He was a volunteer for Bush Cheney 2004 and Pennsylvania Representative Glen Grell. He has been a member of the Dauphin County Young Republicans since 2005, and currently serves as Membership Chairman for the group. Jason was on the host committee for the 2006 PAYR Convention, where he was elected to the Executive Board of the Federation. He enjoys attending political events and fundraisers, traveling, watching C-SPAN, and spending time with his friends and family.

  Jennifer Glackin

Jennifer, of Delaware County, is a 2006 graduate of Villanova University with a BA in Liberal Arts who plans to attend law school in fall of 2007.   She is currently employed as a senior regional account manager with University City Housing Company in Bryn Mawr.  She has been an active volunteer for a wide variety of local, state and national campaigns since 1998. She has been a member of the Delaware County Young Republicans for over three years, during which time she has enjoyed networking with other politically active young professionals as well as working closely with countless local candidates. Jennifer’s passion for politics began when she was 14 years old and she has been enthusiastic in her support of Republicans ever since.  She is looking forward to interacting and working with Young Republicans across the state to ensure the success of Republican–backed candidates. 
  Holly Lyristis

Holly is an elected Lancaster County committeewoman and is Vice Chair of her local Republican Committee.  She was recently elected to the Republican State Committee and serves as Secretary of the Lancaster County Young Republicans.  Holly is employed as an estate administration and real estate tax sale law paralegal with Nikolaus & Hohenadel, LLP.  She earned her Paralegal and Elder Law Certificates with Penn State in 2002.  She and her husband are part owners of two Lancaster pizzerias.  Bush-Cheney 2000 was the campaign that originally drew Holly into politics.  Since then she has worked on several judicial, local and state-wide campaigns and was a member of President Bush’s advance team in 2001 when he visited Safe Harbor, PA.  Currently Holly serves as the Lancaster County phone bank coordinator for Rick Santorum and Lynn Swann.  She is a member her local Women’s Republican Club, the PA Council of Republican Women and the National Federation of Republican Women. 
   

Tracy Milai   Allegheny

Tracy Milai is a lifetime resident of Pittsburgh where she works in Marketing, retail, and acting. She is an original member of the Improv troupe The Amish Monkeys and is proud to have been an understudy in a Berkshire Theatre Festival’s production of Hay Fever starring Oscar-winner Joanne Woodward. She’s a graduate of Duquesne University with a double major of English and Public Relations and a minor in Criminal Justice. A former intern for U.S. Senator Rick Santorum, Tracy was moved to become active in politics and her local YRs after the events of 9/11. Tracy has been on the Executive Board of the YRAC (Young Republicans of Allegheny County) where she has been Events Chair, PR Chair and Secretary, respectively. She is presently an elected Committeewoman in the 30th district for the Republican Committee of Allegheny County. Tracy has helped on several local and state campaigns, including being the Municipal Coordinator in Shaler for PA Attorney General Tom Corbett, as well as assisted with many Presidential visits and motorcades. This is Tracy’s first time serving on the PAYR Executive Board.
 

  Nate Nevala   Washington

Nate Nevala 23, a native of the 49th District, was raised on his family farm located in California, Pennsylvania. Nate was elected to president of the student council in 2001, before he became a graduate of California Area High School and the Mon Valley Career and Technology Center. After graduation, Nate joined the Joint Apprenticeship Training Program of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America and completed in 2005. He also is a member of Carpenters Local 84 Political Action Committee and has been involved in recent political campaigns at the municipal, county, state and national levels. as chairman of the Washington County Young Republicans. Nevala was elected in November 2005 to the California Area School District Board of Education to represent the district's Region II, which includes California Borough, West Brownsville Borough and West Pike Run Township, of which he is a resident. He serves as the district's liaison to legislation and the Pennsylvania School Boards Association.
  Donald Petrille, Jr.  Bucks

Donald Petrille, Jr., Esquire is a practicing attorney in Bucks County. He concentrates on representing the owners of small businesses with their business transactions, real estate transactions and estate planning. In this capacity, he recognizes the impact burdensome regulations and high taxes have on job growth and economic development within the Commonwealth.

Mr. Petrille has served the Bucks County Republican Party as a committeeman, and as an executive committeeman. He has served as a volunteer on congressional campaigns and as a political advisor on township races. Currently, he is serving as a political advisor to a Republican state representative candidate, as well as Chairman of the Bucks County Young Republicans. As Chairman of the Bucks County Young Republicans, he has grown the organization in membership and has led voter registration drives, literature drops and developed leadership roles for other members of the Bucks County YR chapter. Under the mentorship, and with the support of legendary Bucks County Republican Committee Chairman Harry Fawkes, Mr. Petrille, in less than a year, has helped five members of the Bucks County chapter assume roles in the “senior party.” Contact Don at bucksyrchair@yahoo.com.
